About the vaccination clinic
The Robens Centre runs a complete travel health clinic for the general public travelling for pleasure as well as employees (and their families) travelling aged over 12 months old. We are a private CQC registered clinic not an NHS practise. Deposits are taken for appointments and we accept payment using most debit and credit cards excluding American Express cards. There is free client parking on-site. Please note the Robens Centre Administration Team are not medically qualified to provide vaccination advice by telephone, therefore you will need to book a Travel Health Consultation with our Specialist Travel Health Nurses.
We specialise in providing
- travel advice
- fitness to travel medicals
- travel medication
- travel related items, such as repellents and mosquito nets
We provide a wide variety of vaccines and antimalarial medication and are an authorised Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre.
How long will is take for my vaccine to work?
Most vaccines do not become effective for 2 - 4 weeks after they have been given so anyone expecting to travel abroad for either on holiday or business should endeavour to contact us as soon as possible. Some immunisation schedules require a full course of two or more doses of the vaccine; sometimes several weeks apart before they offer full protection so contact us as soon as you know when you will be travelling and also check http://www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk provided by the NHS if you are unsure.
Vaccination Information for Families and Employees
Families are very welcome including children provided they are over 12 months (1 year) old.
Employees, travelling/working abroad may wish to access the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Travel Advice at https://www.gov.uk/browse/abroad
Vaccination Information for Employers
Employers, the immunisation service can be combined with a 'Fitness to Travel' assessment for employees working abroad including CONDO medicals -
Remember ALL employers have a Duty of Care (legal and moral) to protect the health of their employees during business travel. This obligation includes assessing the risks of travelling and managing the risk in so far as it is possible.
